Rhinoplasty:Finding the Right Doctorfor Your Nose Job

A Guide to Rhinoplasty Surgeons

How to evaluate credentials, ask the right questions, and recognize the surgeon who can deliver the result you want. The center of your face deserves nothing less.

The Decision

Rhinoplasty is Not a Decision to Take Lightly

Rhinoplasty surgery can be daunting. Changing the center and focal point of the face is not something to take lightly, yet it remains one of the most common cosmetic procedures because so many people are unhappy with the nose they were born with.

During rhinoplasty, the cartilage, bone, and soft tissue of the nose are sculpted. The technique can correct a large tip, a bump on the bridge, an asymmetrical shape, or a downturned tip. Patients may also pursue rhinoplasty to resolve structural concerns such as a deviated septum or a previously broken nose.

Do Your Due Diligence

When considering rhinoplasty, research your surgeon as carefully as you would any other major decision. Look at their training, their case volume in rhinoplasty specifically, and the consistency of their before-and-after results.

Revision Is Expensive

Revision rhinoplasty is costly, more invasive than the original procedure, and can leave patients unhappy. Choosing the right surgeon the first time is the single greatest predictor of a result you'll be glad to live with for years to come.

The Process

Three Steps to Choosing Your Surgeon

A Practical Order
01

Ask Around

Personal recommendations from family, friends, and other healthcare providers will give you a clear read on a surgeon's reputation. If you don't have a direct referral, study patient testimonials online and look closely at long-term before-and-after work.

02

Check Credentials

Confirm board certification, training history, surgical volume in rhinoplasty specifically, and that procedures are performed in accredited facilities. Revision surgery is costly and invasive, so the time spent verifying the surgeon is time well spent.

03

Schedule a Consultation

A consultation is where you'll know whether the surgeon truly listens to your goals and whether you feel comfortable discussing concerns. To meet with Dr. Eberle, send your name, contact, and a brief description of your aesthetic goals to info@plasticsurgeryweston.com.
