The Procedure
How involved is the Restylane® Silk procedure?
When performed by an experienced practitioner, Restylane® Silk injections take under an hour in our Weston office. Product is delivered with a fine needle directly to the lips or surrounding area. Topical anesthesia minimizes discomfort. Patients may leave immediately afterward. Avoid dental work and massage for two weeks following treatment.
Recovery
How long is the recovery period following Restylane® Silk injections?
There is no required recovery period following Restylane® Silk lip injections. Because the treatment is a simple injection, there is no cutting, stitches, or bandaging. Some patients experience temporary swelling, redness, or bruising that usually subsides within a few days.
