Overview

Composite Breast Augmentation in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Composite breast augmentation, also known as LipoImplant Augmentation, is a new technique for breast enhancement. At the Weston Center for Plastic Surgery, board-certified plastic surgeon Nathan Eberle, M.D., D.D.S., is proud to offer composite breast augmentation to residents of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County, Florida. The procedure can improve breast contour whether you have undergone previous breast enhancement surgery or are considering it for the first time.

Candidacy

An ideal candidate for LipoImplant Augmentation

You may be a strong candidate if any of the following describe you.

  • You desire a procedure and results customized uniquely to you.

  • You do not have enough breast tissue to cover an implant.

  • You want increased fullness in the upper part of the breast in order to obtain maximum cleavage.

  • Your breasts are asymmetric and/or narrow.

  • Your breast size or shape has changed since having your original implant surgery.

The Technique

What is composite breast augmentation?

Composite breast augmentation is a breast enhancement surgery that uses both the placement of breast implants and fat grafting to create a superior shaped breast that neither modality could provide on its own. The majority of the breast volume comes from the implant, while fat grafting at the same time allows Dr. Eberle to make the breast look and feel more natural, with better concealment of the implant.

Advantages

Advantages of Composite Breast Augmentation

01

Concealing the implant

A primary concern in breast augmentation is hiding the edge of the implant. Even with sub-muscular placement, a rippled appearance can result when the patient does not have enough overlying tissue, more commonly with saline implants. LipoImplant Augmentation lets Dr. Eberle cover the implant with the patient's own fat, harvested from elsewhere on the body.

02

Building cleavage and upper fullness

The shape or placement of natural breasts does not always allow for fullness in the upper pole or cleavage, even with implants in place. Grafted fat builds the fullness and cleavage that would otherwise be lacking.

03

Restoring a previous augmentation

Over time, implants can constrict the natural breast tissue, and the tissue overlying the implant can thin. Fat grafting can restore an earlier breast augmentation to its previous contour and size.

04

Correcting asymmetry

Fat grafting fine-tunes size and shape between the breasts when asymmetry is present, which is not easily achieved with implants alone.

05

A result tailored to you

Fat grafting lets Dr. Eberle tailor the procedure and the final breast shape to your individual anatomy, for the most natural and ideal result.

Recovery

Recovery from Composite Breast Augmentation

In general, two to three days of recovery are needed after composite breast augmentation. Most patients are able to return to work only a few days after surgery, though every patient is different.
