alloClae FAQ
alloClae is natural tissue. It is not a synthetic filler and it is not an implant. It is purified fat tissue from a donor. Fat grafting needs liposuction first to harvest your own fat. alloClae does not, so there is no second treatment area to heal.
Dr. Eberle will decide that with you at your consultation. alloClae can be placed anywhere fat naturally exists. Because no liposuction is needed, it works even if you have little body fat. That makes it an option for many patients who are too lean for a fat transfer.
Right away. alloClae keeps the natural 3D honeycomb structure of fat tissue, so it adds volume as soon as it is placed.
alloClae is made from purified fat tissue, so results can be lasting. How long they last depends on your body and your lifestyle.
Very little. Most patients are back to their normal routine within a day. Mild swelling or bruising can happen and usually fades quickly. Avoid workouts, heat and soaking for 24 to 48 hours.
alloClae is donated human fat tissue that is purified and sterilized before use. Like any procedure, it carries risks. These include lumps or cysts, pain, infection, a collection of blood under the skin, anaphylaxis or other allergic or immune responses, and skin discoloration. alloClae is not for patients with severe allergies, a history of anaphylaxis or an active infection. Dr. Eberle will go over the risks with you.

Intended Purpose
alloClae is intended to be applied subcutaneously in localized areas of the body to provide cushioning and support to the patient’s body where adipose tissue naturally exists. alloClae does not contain viable cells, and has no systemic effect, and is not dependent upon the metabolic activity of living cells for its primary function. This allograft is intended for single patient use only. Human tissue shall not be offered or dispensed for veterinary use. alloClae should not be used on patients with severe allergen sensitivities, a history of anaphylaxis, or in the presence of active infection. Like all procedures of this type there is a possibility of complications, although not everyone experiences them. Those potential complications include cystic or nodule formations, pain or infection, hematoma, anaphylaxis or other allergic or immune responses, or discoloration of the skin at the procedure site.
