Balanced Profile
A weak or underdeveloped chin makes the neck appear fleshy and the face withdrawn. A chin implant brings the lower face forward into proportion with the brow and midface.

Bring balance to your facial silhouette by adding definition, volume, and proportion to an underdeveloped chin. Double board-certified care, silicone implants shaped for your profile, recovery in roughly one week.
Have you always felt like your chin was too weak? A chin implant from double board-certified plastic surgeon Nathan Eberle, M.D., D.D.S., F.A.C.S. at Weston Center for Plastic Surgery can bring balance to your facial contours by improving symmetry and adding volume to this critical area of the face. It’s a popular treatment among Fort Lauderdale and Broward County residents who want to enhance the appearance of their chin.
A chin implant, also called chin augmentation surgery, is a cosmetic procedure that adds definition, volume, and proportion to an underdeveloped chin using a sized, shaped implant placed inside the chin. The result is a more balanced facial structure that holds up from every angle.
Surgery time, anesthesia, recovery, and the practical details that shape the experience.
Chin augmentation restores harmony and proportion to the facial features and balances the overall structure of the face.
A weak or underdeveloped chin makes the neck appear fleshy and the face withdrawn. A chin implant brings the lower face forward into proportion with the brow and midface.
Adding volume to the chin extends the visual line of the jaw, sharpening the silhouette in profile and softening the appearance of a double chin.
An underdeveloped chin exaggerates the appearance of the nose. Augmenting the chin restores harmony so the nose and forehead no longer look disproportionately large.
Chin augmentation can often be performed under local anesthesia, though more complex placements may use general anesthesia. The procedure typically takes about one hour from start to finish.
A small incision is created under the jawline. A silicone implant, shaped beforehand to achieve the desired effect, is inserted under the soft tissues of the chin and seated against the bone. The incision is then closed with sutures, leaving the access point hidden along the natural shadow of the jaw.

Actual patients. Individual results may vary.
Most patients take about a week of downtime. Tenderness, mild bruising, and redness around the chin are common. We ask patients to keep the head elevated, even while sleeping, and eat soft foods.
Strenuous exercise and extensive facial movement are avoided for several additional weeks. A button-down shirt protects the chin area from being bumped while you dress.
Some results are visible immediately, but swelling can obscure the final shape for up to a month. As the swelling resolves, the new contour settles into place.
The cost of chin augmentation depends on surgical specifics such as the type and size of the implant and the extent of soft tissue reshaping required to seat it. Financing is available through CareCredit, Cherry, and PatientFi.
